Our community closed out 2021 with a major milestone: breaking ground on the third mixed-use building at The Village. The residential and commercial space, named Building C, anchors the existing two structures completed in 2019. The groundbreaking ceremony, held in December, marked the commencement of construction in earnest, and today we’re sharing more about Building C and the businesses slated to join us at Heritage!

We are just a few days from the end of the year, and with 2021 nearly in the rearview, we’re glad to have made December memorable. New business openings, events for the family, and breaking ground on a new project, we’ve had so much to be thankful for this month!

Every year as autumn begins its turn to winter, there is a palpable shift as anticipation fills the air. Families gather, longtime friends make their way into town, and life gets a little sweeter. It’s the time of year for thankfulness and community. And as the holidays approach and the temperatures fall, Heritage is gearing up for a December filled to the brim with exciting moments made to share and remember!

The seasons are changing, the weather is cooling, and The Market at Heritage is here for its second ever appearance! The April installment of the event was a huge success, and community members have been clamoring for its return ever since. Let’s take a quick look at all the lovely things happening this Saturday at Heritage.

The best description of Friday night’s block party: totally rad! From one-night-only entrees and dinner deals to specialty desserts and drinks to dancing on The Village lawn and playing games with friends, the event was a blast from start to finish!

From the very beginning, Heritage Community set sights on bringing new and exciting things to the Fort Smith and Barling area. Becoming the home to new businesses and new locations of local favorites against the backdrop of a living experience unlike any other is just scratching the surface of what we’ve accomplished in a short time. And we’re not slowing down...the entertainment district at Heritage is now open!

The summer season seems to go as swiftly as it comes. It’s as if the last school bell is still ringing in the air when you start to hear the chiming of bells welcoming students right back. With just a few poolside weeks left, it’s a great time to look back and celebrate the goodness of summer 2021.

April 24th marked the first official Heritage event of 2021. The Market at Heritage featured vendors from all over the River Valley and Northwest Arkansas, a classic car show, live music, and of course, every one of our Village Merchants. Community members came out in record numbers on a perfect, spring day to partake in The Market offerings and to explore the beautiful Heritage Community! 

One of Heritage’s most highly anticipated ribbon cuttings took place last week on a sunny Monday morning. With ACHE leadership, community supporters, and friends in attendance, Mercedes, Antonio, and Robert cut the ribbon on the newest Las Americas location.

You don’t have to walk far to run into a doctor at Heritage. Be it an ACHE faculty member, a student doctor, or one of the many guests that visit the campus, Heritage is home to a disproportionate number of healthcare professionals...and that’s just the way we like it.

2021’s month of February has been a roller coaster, to put it very lightly. Cooler temperatures (a given since southern winter doesn’t start in earnest until well into January) gave way to the biggest snow storm we’ve seen in decades. If your phone number starts with a 479, 501, or 870, you need no further explanation, but for anyone reading outside state lines, I’ll make it brief: Arkansas had more total snowfall this month than any on record. Since 1874. To clarify, in 147 years of tracking monthly snowfall, our February holds the title position.

A new chapter began for Heritage this week as we opened our first private practice at The Village. With many ACHE administrators, community members, friends, and family in attendance, Dr. Marshall Parker cut the ribbon on his office space and we welcomed Parker Chiropractic & Wellness to our community!

Family, friends, lots of cheer, a dash of giveaways with a generous helping of good food and fun—this year’s Christmas at The Porches and Holidays at Heritage was everything we planned and so much more!
